Visiting Indy!

We have a world class Children’s’ Museum.  Wonderful even without children, and sometimes better!

Racing fan?  Be sure to visit the Hall of Fame Museum at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

We have an excellent art museum with spectacular sculpture grounds, the “IMA”

For a different museum experience be sure to visit our Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art

For a very different experience, visit the Indiana Medical History Museum, the intact pathology lab from our old Central State Asylum.  Not just a replica, this was the real thing!

Science fiction buff?  Our Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library is downtown.  Easier than going to Tralfamador!  Bring no ice-nine!

Tour the Madam Walker Theater Center!  On the register of National Historic Landmarks, the Walker was started by Sarah Breedlove (Madam Walker), the first female self-made millionaire in America.  She was the first child in her family born into freedom after the Emancipation Proclamation.  Check out the events!

We have a wonderful zoo too!  Visit our new habitat for Orangutans! Meercats, anyone?  Warthogs?  We’ve got ‘em!

Indianapolis is bike friendly with many miles of bike-marked streets.  Bike rentals downtown are available.  Check out PacersBikeShare,

Many restaurants are an easy walk or short cab ride from the hotel.
